A big thank you goes out to the people who came to the Residence to help the Swiss Ladies
Charity Group bake biscuits for the bazaar. There was a great atmosphere and plenty of willing
hands
On Sunday, 26th November, the group took part in the bazaar at the Hilton Colombo Residences.
The team worked from 6.30 am until late into the afternoon but had lots of fun and
was rewarded with a great outcome. Details will follow in their report.
We had our Christmas party on the 2nd December at the Mount Lavinia Hotel. The torrent
made it impossible to stay on the beach, forcing the staff to move the location and to prepare
the Maitland State Room at the last minute. They did an amazing job, and everything was
ready when the members arrived with their guests and children. Santa’s visit with his
Schmutzli was absolutely wonderful, putting a smile on everybody’s face. Chef Michael and his
team earned a lot of compliments for the delicious buffet with lots of Swiss specialities. All the
children, big and small, had a great time.
